Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather information for case preparation.
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements.
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents.
- Assist in the preparation of court filings and submissions.
- Manage communication with clients, legal professionals, and court personnel.
- Schedule appointments, court dates, and maintain legal calendars.
- Coordinate document production and distribution.
- Assist in the preparation of deposition summaries and trial exhibits.
- Conduct client interviews to gather relevant case information.
- Prepare and file legal documents with government agencies.
- Stay updated on changes in legal regulations and statutes.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing phone calls, emails, and appointments.
- Assist in the preparation of billing statements and monitor client accounts.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field.
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role preferred.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
