Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Conduct vendor assessments to evaluate performance, reliability, and adherence to contract terms.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and terms with vendors to secure favorable terms for the organization.
- Monitor vendor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Resolve issues and disputes with vendors in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align vendor services accordingly.
- Conduct regular vendor audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and process optimization in vendor relationships.
- Work with cross-functional teams to onboard new vendors and integrate them into existing processes.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive vendor management database, tracking key information and contract renewals.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and changes in vendor landscape.
- Provide periodic reports to management on vendor performance, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in vendor management or procurement.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess vendor performance against predefined metrics.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor selection, and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with vendor management software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
